flagella are long tube like projections used for locomotion. ex:euglena etc

cilia are small hair like projections helping in sweeping of food ex paramecium

Flagella is different from cilia as Flagella is a tail like structure whereas cilias are the hair like structure on the surface of the bacteria.
They both use for locomotion.
