In this fluid mosaic model, there is a kind of lipid bilayer. And thus protein molecules are embedded in this model.

This kind of lipid bilayer brings the membrane 'fluidity' along with elasticity i.e. it's flexible.

In case of plasma membrane and other cell models- fluid mosaic model is different by above reasona.
