how is food security ensured in India

Through PDS system ,it stands for public distribution system, also through ration shops which sells essential commodity at low price.

1. food security is ensured in india if enough food is available for all the person's , all persons have the capacity to buy food of acceptable quality and there is no barrier on access to food.

2. India has become self sufficient in food grains during the last thirty years because of a variety of crops grown all over the country.

3. The availability of the food grains at the country level has further been ensured with a food security system by government this system has two components 1. buffer stock and public distribution system (PDS).
