Phloem transports food materials from the leaves to different parts of theplant. The transportation of food in phloem is achieved by utilizing energy from ATP which helps in creating osmotic pressure that transport foodfrom the area of high concentration to low concentration.

Phloem is the tissues that helps in the transport of food throughout the plant.The the different elements of Pyloem include sieve tubes companion cell , Phloem parenchyma and phloem fibres food is transported by a special machine called as pressure flow hypothesis.
