French weren’t the only people dissatisfied with the government. Many people in Europe, like the Serfs in Russia, weren’t so happy with the government either. Now as a poor man with your only job is being abused by somebody, you probably wouldn’t hear of the Revolution, and the idea of a republic where everybody was treated equally.Napoleon was probably the most important man for European democracy. Yeah, the Founding Fathers inspired people, but Napoleon made those people look like a Chinese missionary in 1900. He spread the ideals of liberty to the lands he conquered. Lots of people considered him an idol. Without him, the Napoleonic Wars wouldn’t happen. When France was defeated in the wars, Prussia gained an influential base in Germany. Without this base, it couldn’t control the other states to form Germany. Germany shaped WW1 as we know it, and also WW2.

This is why it was considered a turning point. It was the turning point of ideology. The monarchies of Europe were shaken, and eventually, they would almost disappear. It shaped the winners and losers for the next 200 years

Hope this helps have a nice day☺♥
