Global warming is indeed related to the over-utilization of natural resources. What happens is that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. When there is excessive use of resources for instance, to produce more energy, more coal is being burned, it leads to higher levels of toxins rising in the air. When more resources are exhausted, during that process the nature is effected. The air is polluted which leads to global warming. The overall temperature of the Earth rises due to this effect.
