Green manure is a fertilizer which actually consists of small green plants growing in the soil which are ploughed back into the soil in order to increase the nutritional content of the soil.

On the other hand normal manure is decomposed product obtained by microorganisms when they carry out decomposition of plant, animal and other farm wastes. This also increases the nutritional content of the soil.

Answer:

it is different from ordinary manure because green manure consist with leguminous plants which are ploughed and mulched into the crop field due to which it is converted into manure. But ordinary manure is obtained by decomposition of products of plants and animals.
