The green revolution is associated with the loss of soil fertility. The Green revolution uses chemical fertilizers, pesticides, weedicides, insecticides which reduces the natural fertility of soil. It has also resulted in the degradation of soil. The chemical fertilizers can also kill bacteria and other micro organisms in soil.
