Gram Panchayat is formed through basically elections under the rule , the Panchayat Election.The Gram Panchayat consists of one or more villages.It is regulated by the Gram Sabha and is a self-governing body at the village level.The number of members varies accordingly.But the members must  be salaried either under the government or the co-operative.The members are elected for four years and there must be one sitting every month.
