In hypotonic there is endomosis process means movement of water from outside to inside the cell or substance. And vice versa in hypertonic.

hypnotic solution is a solution in which concentration of dilute is more than solvent whereas in hypertonic solution concentration of solvent is more than solute.
In hypotonic solutions particles swallows and in hypertonic solution particles srinks...
