Increase in population means more food to meet their needs.To produce more food we need to make use of more water resources hence it leads to water scarcity

We live on a planet comprised of 75% water, of water, there is no lack. There is not conveniently located, potable water.
To address this problem a bigger population would make for a greater genius from which to draw a solution to the power supply problem. The next leap forward for humanity will come after we have implemented a safe, reliable power source that will bring nigh free power to all points on the globe. This power should sensibly be used to make drinkable water from sea water on a mass scale, since that alone is the limiting factor preventing the utilization of a far greater portion of the crust of the Earth for food growth
