the India is a peninsular region where it is surrounded by water on 3 sides. so international trade can take place easily

India is prominent in the Indian subcontinent in the South of Asia.  It is bordered by the tallest and longest mountain range of Himalayas on the North.  India is has Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal, and Arabian Ocean on the three sides South, East, and West.

India is in the center of Eastern Asia and Western Asia.  So India can be a hub and trade center so that the West can do business with the East.

Many ships do make a halt at the Indian ports on their way.

India being among the middle of a number of less developed countries makes it advantageous for Indian businesses to market their products there easily.

India being not far from developed countries like Singapore makes it advantageous to do cooperative development.
