Answer:Inertia means resistance to change. A body does not change its state of rest or of uniform motion, unless an external force compels it to change that state. A heavier body has a larger inertia than a lighter body. For eg: cricket ball having more mass has more inertia as compared to a tennis ball. Larger the mass more is the inertia.
So, mass is a measure of inertia.
