for ex 1500 AD to 2000 AD

in Maths positive number works as 1 ,2,3 or 1-10

while in BC number works in th backwards form

for example 2500-1500

where the first number is greater and other is smaller

same is for negative numbers in Maths the succeeding number is lesser

for example

-1,-2,-3 e.tc

here -2 is smaller than -1
