How is it possible for Helen Keller's writing to be so full of descriptions when she was both blind and deaf?

She read a lot of books and stories and those stories got imprinted on her mind. She was keen to read poetry and her thoughts and emotions were generally influenced by those of the writers and the poets she read. Later while writing she wrote down those emotions and facts. That is why her writing was so good and full of descriptions.

A blind and deaf person has other sense of organs which is more sensitive and active to the outer world. Also it might be that she might have heard about the world and its description by her teacher or her friends and have imagined how the world is. More than sight she describes a thing by its smell or touch.
