A magnetic needle shows identical deflections in two cases, first when one magnet is placed normal to the earth's magnetic field with its centre at a distance of 20cm from the centre of the magnetic needle, and second when another one is placed with its centre at a distance of 30cm from the centre of the needle.

How is it possible to demonstrate the directional property of a magnet?

Directional property of magnets states that a freely suspended magnet always points towards the geographical north-south direction. Every magnet, irrespective of its shape, has a north pole and a south pole.

Hope it helps please thank me
