How is java taken over by dutch and affected its forest .explain

@ Dutch had imposed many strict forest laws on the villagers of Java.

@ the Dutch had imposed rents on land being cultivated in the forest and the extented some villages from these rents if they worked collectively to provide free labour and buffaloes for cutting and transporting timber.

@ this was know as 'blandongdiensten'.

@ later instead of rent exemption, forest villagers were given wages, but their right to cultivated forest land was restricted.

@ villagers were punished for grazing cattle transporting wood without a permit or travelling on forest roads with horse carts or cattle.
