in palampur,they are total of 450 families. in these 450 families ,150 belong to lower castes such as dalits and do not own many land .sometimes these people donot have any land and will become landless labourers.
in the next 300 families 240 are small farmers while the other 60 are large farmers .they own a majority of the land i.e 75%in palampur
