Land is the most useful requirement for farming. Unfortunately not all the people engaged in agriculture have sufficient land for cultivation. In palampur the distribution of cultivated land is unequal. The land in palampur is divided as:

1. Families are landless.

2. Families cultivate small plots of landless than 2 hectares in size.

3. families of medium and large farmers cultivate more than hectares of land.
