more the length of the intestine more easier it would be to digest the material so in herbivorous animals aur herbivorous organisms since they generally eat cellulose rich food which results in a longer intestine for the absorption of cellulose is hard to digest or absorb cellulose virus / eating on meat eating animals find it easier to digest the fat hence having a small length of intestine
