how is life on islands similar or different from life in plains

hello there that being said let's get into the matter

as islands are land masses surrounded by water on all the sides chances of precipitation is to be in high quantities the chances of flood or even or hurricane is higher in islands than in plains due to the water bodies surrounding them and therefore this factor plays a role in deciding the temperature, plain areas will experience extreme climate while islands will experience moderate climate
