Malaria is spread by bite of infected female Anopheles mosquito.

● Extra information -

• Malaria is caused by protozoa of Plasmodium genus including - P. malariae, P. vivax, P. ovale, P. falciparum.
• It is spread by female anopheles mosquito during its blood meal.
• Common presentation is fever with chills and sweating.
• Malaria is treated by drugs like chloroquine, quinine, artemisin, etc.
