Man is responsible for reducing the quality of the environment as :-

Overpopulation and increasing pollution, especially due to burning fossil fuels, is causing degradation in the environment.

➝ Deforestation has led to problems like climate change, soil erosion and poor air quality.

➝ Environmental changes are prompting mass migrations and battles over clean water.

Overuse of resources also plays a significant role in reducing the quality of the environment.

➝ Human civilisation has caused the loss of 83% of all wild mammals and half of plants.

Increased GHG emissions has become a significant driver of biodiversity loss.
