in the poem seven stages of life, the poet describes the last stage of life as when an individual enters the last stage of one's life which is comparable to a second childhood. at this final stage , they are without teeth, eyes, taste, and everything and are depentent to others one's again and having acted in so many roles in life they are ready to exit the stage of life.

In the seventh or last stage of life, a man becomes extremely old. He becomes forgetful and behaves like a child in everything. He has no teeth, eyesight, taste and almost nothing. Then he dies.
