How is mandibular canine different from maxillary canine?

Maxillary canines, both deciduous and permanent, have a convex mesial crown surface from the crown margin to the contact point after which it becomes flatter. In mandibular canines, the mesial crown surface is flatter, forming a larger contact area with the incisor and this surface forms a straight line with the root.
