what you are asking. “ABIOTIC’ just means it is not organic. I think most people think of Manganese as more a mineral that obviously is not organic. Now back to the question. Manganese by itself is NOT a renewable resource. In fact the US government considers it a strategic material even though we have some of it but we don’t mine it. Why strategic? Like rare earth elements, we get a lots from China. ie we need it and China’s got it. Manganese is used in not only metal alloys, but as a component of high density batteries in some versions. (Think Lithium-Ion Manganese batteries) Because of this, it plays an important part in the capture of renewable energy such as solar and wind
