Difference between Compound and Mixture:

A compound is a pure substance while mixture is an impure substance.

A compound is made of two or more chemically combined elements while mixture consists of two or more mixed substances neither chemically nor in exact quantity.

A compound is combined in fixed ratio while mixture is not in fixed ratio.

For Example:

Water, Sugar, Salt, Methane, Baking Soda, etc are compound.

Sand and water, Air, Soda, Solutions, Gasoline, etc are mixtures.
