MGNREGA has given rise to the largest employment programme in human history and is unlike any other wage employment programme in its scale, architecture and thrust. ... It is a demand-driven programme where provision of work is triggered by the demand for work by wage-seekers

My friend MNREGA os a govt scheme for the unemployment problems aroused in the backward area if India. The scheme was named after Mahatma Gandhi. The abbreviation is Mahatma Gandhi National rural employment guarantee Act-2005.

The importance od this scheme are,

1 It provides the 100days job guarantee to the rural area person.

2 With this it provides good employment as well as the infrastructure facilities to the rural area.

3 the infrastructure includes the 1 Rain water harvesting 2 forestation 3 small irrigation constructions etc.

4 friends we all know that these will lead to contributing growth to the Economy of our nation.
