how is organism benefited if it is reproduce through spores

plants such as ferns and mosses have special leaves that have spore - bearing structure called sori. the spores are tiny single celled asexual reproductive units and are surrounded by a tough coat for protection.

There are some benefits for the organism which reproduces through spore formation such as
(i) Reproduction through spores is simple as well as faster mode of reproduction.
(ii) The spores are light in weight thus, keep floating in the air. This helps in their dispersal.
(iii) The spores are covered with a thick layer which enables them to survive in unfavourable conditions
