  • The Earth if seen from outer space or a heavenly body looks like a huge ball.
  • It looks like a blue ball (Reason: about 75% of earth is covered with water [H2O]).
  • But some areas also look like green and yellow.
  • Green areas are land Rich of vegetation. For Example: Some parts of Africa, Iceland, etc.
  • Yellow areas don't have trees. For Example: Sahara, Thar. (Note: These examples fall on hot deserts.)
  • If we see from the North or the South pole, we can see that it is white. (Reason: It is mainly covered with ice i.e. It is cold desert).
