Greed of a man is unthankful and has tendency to show no gratitude for whatever he gets in life, desire for more continues unabated, that implies that greedy human being can never feel contented or happy. In a situation when one is contented, his greed will cease and will reflect in his happiness & expression of gratitude.

Contentment is about self control and discontentment is about greed, loss of self control is primarily the cause of greed. Greed kills happiness of possessing every single thing in life.

Like Greedy man’s craving for more & more of particular food does not let him relish the taste of previous morsel, will continue gorging over and over ,resulting in stomach disorder ,physical discomfort and unhappiness.

A human is gifted a beautiful life by god with love but he is so ungrateful that instead of enjoying this life, he complains through his whole life for getting less, craves for more and that’s what leads to a sad and sorrowful event of death, since he was never contended all his life and for all his material possessions along with life as his incredible possession, he could never cherish life and passed away with greed to live more. He could have been probably grateful to god for the gift of life of whatever time span to make death as celebrated or happy event of life.

Greed is tool to satisfy self gratification, furthering ego. Greed disconnects you with innerself, creates wisdom deficit, Mind takes over in evil pursuit of fulfilling increasing material desires by all means. Greedy human being is the most distraught person on this earth, always in distress. He is kind of liability on this earth, who is self centered and lives only for himself. His craving for more makes him poorest person and it is this poverty, which adds continuously to his misery and never lets him in space of peace and happiness.

Outcome of greed is over possession and over collection more than one’s needs, which leaves many deprived, resulting in spread of unhappiness all around you. Exercising Contentment, self control and non collection of things more than the necessity can sublime the greediness and can lead a human being to realize the light of happiness.

Answer:

Our happiness is spoiled by greed when greed tries to become our pleasure. Whenever we attain something, there are fair chances that we might not enjoy it due to the will to get more.

Greediness makes us hungry for more when we already have something and disallows us to enjoy that particular thing.

We must enjoy what we have and take pleasure in it rather than letting greed interfere and make us desire more.
