Skeleton is the hard structure inside our body, that protects the internal organs of a living organism. The skeleton protects important internal organs like the brain, heart and lungs. If humans did not have a skeleton then the body would be flat as the skeleton gives the body its frame and shape. There are 4 types of joints, ball and socket joint, hinge joint, pivot joint and gliding joint. Hinge joints connects  the skull and spine. This type of joint can move up and down or backwards or forward.

Answer:

The skeletal system works as a support structure for your body. It gives the body its shape, allows movement, makes blood cells, provides protection for organs and stores minerals.
