When you breathe as when you take in oxygen is transported to your body and when you exhale the carbon-di-oxide is given out and it is given to the trees for respiration. Our heart transports oxygen two times in succession means at the same time.

In human beings ,a pigment hemoglobin is present in red blood corpuscles which has high affinity for oxygen, takes up the oxygen from the air in the lungs and carry up the oxygen from the air in the lungs and carry it to tissues which are deficient in oxygen.Carbon dioxide which  is more soluble in water than oxygen is mostly transported in the dissolved form in our blood.
