Answer:

a) The oxygen from alveoli diffuses into blood of capillaries as oxygen content is more in alveoli as compared to blood.

b) In blood it combines with haemoglobin, Hb to form complex i.e. oxy-Hb. This complex breaks near the tissue where oxygen diffuses into the cells of tissues s oxygen content is more in blood as compared to cell.

c) In cell, oxidation of food occurs due to which Carbon-Dioxide produced. Now this Carbon-dioxide diffuses into capillaries where it combines with Hb to from complex Carbino-Hb. Further this complex breaks near alveoli due to higher content of Carbon-dioxide in capillary blood. So Carbon-dioxide through the same passage is given out.

"THIS WHOLE PROCESS I.E. ENTRY OF OXYGEN IN THE BODY AND COMING BACK OF CARBON DIOXIDE GAS FROM THE BODY IS CALLED CELLULAR RESPIRATION."

♥ Transport of oxygen - Haemoglobin present in the blood takes up the oxygen from the air in the lungs . It carries the oxygen to tissues which are deficient in oxygen before releasing it .

♥ Transport of carbon dioxide - Carbon

dioxide is more soluble in water .

Therefore , it is mostly transported from

body tissues in the dissolved form in our

blood plasma to lungs . It diffuses from

blood to air in the lungs .
