Through special type of blood vessels like Arteries which carry oxygen and Veins which bring out carbon-dioxide from the lungs. Capillaries are the blood vessels which carry oxygen and bring out carbon-dioxide from the tissues.

Hemoglobin is contained in red blood cells, which efficiently carries oxygen from the lungs to the tissues of the body. Hemoglobin also helps in the transportation of carbon dioxide and hydrogen ions back to the lungs.
