How is ozone formed in the upper atmosphere ? state how it affects an ecosystem

Its formed by the ultravoilate rays as they break the o2.
O2(ultravoilet rays)----O+O
when thses are seprated they mix with other O2 to form O3 which is ozone molecule.
O+O2----O3
It protects the harmful ultravoilet rays to enter on earth. As it makes a layer above atmosphere. Because these ultraviolet rays can cause diff. diseases like skin cancer etc
