Ozone layer is a layer of relatively high concentration of Ozone gas (O3) in the stratosphere.
It is formed there by reaction of an Oxygen molecule and an Oxygen atom in the presence of Ultraviolet Radiation.
O2 + O ===> O3
A chief chemical that causes it's depletion is ChloroFluoroCarbon (CFC).
