How is plaster of Paris chemically different from gypsum? How are they

Gypsum is a crystalline mineral of hydrated calcium sulphate. And gypsum is mainly used in the partly dehydrated form of plaster of Paris.


They r interconverted as :-
Heating gypsm give POP.
Adding water to POP give gypsm.

Uses of POP :-
it is used in making toys
It is used in decorating ceiling.
