how is poem different from a story?

A poem is quite different from from a story. A story has a well beginning, a creative ending, and description of the subject in other forms of the specific language. A story gives us a clear idea about the thoughts and feelings of the writer. It sometimes has a moral, an adventure, humour, wit or feelings about something. A poem does not has a specific beginning, but has a colourful ending either happy, or sad. Poem is the way to express our feelings in a short description through creative formation of sentences, vivid thoughts and most importantly rhyming phrases which improve the quality of poem. It gives us a clear idea of the poet's message or feelings.
