- Nitropropane is reduced to propane-1-amine with the help of catalyst tin chloride and hydrochloric acid.

C3H7-NO2 ---> C3H7-NH2
Catalyst - SnCl2 / HCl

- In this reaction, nitro group from nitropropane is reduced to amine group in propane-1-amine.
