Answer:

Explanation:

###A rainbow is a natural spectrum appearing in the sky. It is caused by dispersion of sunlight by tiny droplets present in the atmosphere after a rainfall. The tiny droplets produce dispersion in the incident sunlight and then total internal reflection and then refraction, as shown. Due to these phenomenon, different colours reach the observer at different angles and a rainbow is formed....##

Here is in the attachment Diagram of How Rainbow is formed by a small drop of water which acts as Small Prism.

THE RAINBOW !!

When Rainbow is seen then you should notice a combination of Certain optical phenomenon. These phenomena are dispersion, refraction and reflection.

The Rainbow is shown in only rainy season because at that time water droplets acts as small Prisms.

When sunlight enters the water droplets, dispersion occurs causing different colours in sunlight to refract at different angles . This results in the formation of a rainbow.
