⭐It is formed by the reflection and refraction of the sunrays through raindrops. ... IT IS CAUSED BY DISPERSION OF SUNLIGHT BY TINY WATER DROPLETS PRESENT IN THE ATMOSPHERE. A RAINBOW IS ALWAYS FORMED IN A DIRECTION OPP.

●A rainbow is formed when white light is dispersed naturally. The rain drops act as dispersers while the Sunlight fall on them. We see the spectrum (dispersed band of seven colours) as a streak of rainbow across the sky.
