out side india that is in forieng rain water harvesting is done by collecting rain water by pipe lines and it is directly conected to drum which is placed in under ground and some of them built a tank and collect the water.This is how rain water harvesting is done.but it is recognized by government and it is compulsory but in india it is not followed like that

In foreign countries the method of rainwater harvesting is similar but it is recognised and implemented by the government on large scale.Foreign countries had created many organisations to undertaken rain water harvesting.They Built large tanks to harvest rain water on large scale. London Olympic Park is also used as rainwater harvesting.
