how is regeneration different from fragmentation

In regeneration if any creature(planaria) is been cutted from anywhere than it'll start to grow from there and hence a new daughter cell will produce
but in fragmentation, many fragments have been developed on the body of that creature(spriogyra) which than automatically breaks down after while and hence a new daughter cell is produced.

Regeneration is the process of regrowth organism that allows for partial or completely regrowth of tissue after cutting or damaging event.

Fragmentation is an organsim is spilt into fragments each fragments grows into completely individuals organism that are clones of the original organism.
