Answer:

RER have ribosomes and SER dont have ribosomes.

SER mainly produce and export lipids and function for detoxification while RER produce secrete and export proteins

Rough endoplasmic reticulum ( RER ) and Smooth endoplasmic reticulum ( SER ) . SER is found near the cell membrane and RER is found near the cytoplasm of the eukaryotic cells . SER does not have ribosomes but RER have ribosomes. SER helps in the production of fat molecules , steroid hormones or lipids that is important for cell function. RER helps in the production of protein , protein folding , quality control and dispatch.
