How is resistance affected if length of conductor is tripled and thickness is made one-third

as resistance , R1 = ρl/A
                                                   where, ρ = resistivity 
                                                               l = length of conductor 
                                                               A = area of  cross-section

Effect on resistance ,  R2 = ρ 3l/(A/3) = 6ρl/A = 6 R1
hence, resistance becomes 6 times  the original value
