(1) Ruminants's Stomach is a four chambered complex stomach comprising of Reticulum,Rumen,Omasum and Abomasum whereas
Human Stomach is simple, single chambered stomach.
(2) In Ruminant's stomach, there are ruminal microbes which break down the cellulose and transform it into fatty acids. These fatty acids are absorbed directly through ruminal wall into blood stream and accounts for 60 to 80 % of energy needs of Ruminants.
In contrast, human stomach can not break down cellulose and derive no energy from it.
(3) The microbes of Ruminant's rumen,serve to manufacture protein from non proteinous substances like urea and convert them into Amino Acids.
Human, in contrast, have to obtain Amino Acids, directly through their diet.
These are the main difference between Ruminant's stomach and Human Stomach.
