Scattering is a general process where some forms of radiation such as light, sound or moving particles are forced to deviate from a straight trajectory by one or more paths due to localized non uniformities in the medium through which they pass.
Example of natural phenomenon is when the sun rays pass through the clouds, scattering of light is observed.
Dispersion is a process in which the white light is split into it's 7 constituent colours.
Example of natural phenomenon is formation of rainbow in the sky, dispersion of light is observed.
Hope it helps you
