How is sedimentation and decantation different from filtration ???

plzz... answer fast..

Explanation:

In Sedimentation we leave the mixture at rest for a while.... so that heavier and lighter components separate. Then in decantation.... we pour the top layer (the lighter component which is floating) .

In filtration... we use filter paper and pour the mixture through the filter paper into another glass/beaker.

The particles left on filter paper are residue and the liquid in the glass/beaker in which it is poured is filtrate.
