See if the sperm of father containing X chromosome fertilises with the female egg containing X chromosome then the child born will be a girl.

But if the sperm of father containing Y chromosome fertilises with the female egg containing X chromosome then the child born will be a boy. So it totally depends on the father's chromosome if the child will be a boy or a girl. Coz mother's chromosome is only one that is X but father's can be two that is either X or Y.
